Intermediate Rueda
At this level Casinero's should be familiar with the movement of the Rueda and still having
FUN! It is important that the
Casinero at this level begins to pay attention to his/her
position in the rueda(circle) as turns/figures become more complicated and calls come
more frequently.  The three levels of intermediate will be of increasing difficulty,
intermediate one being easiest and three being the most difficult.
Casinero's will also
learn to move upstream(arriba) versus downstream(abajo) which is the normal movement
when changing  partners.
The intermediate level is also a good starting point for the
Casinero to become creative
and develop his/her own style while dancing in the rueda. Simply the
Casinero knows the
basics, therefore the music becomes the focus allowing for new creativity based on
rhythms within the music. Individual styling can be a great tool for one on one dancing and
is very acceptable in the rueda as long as the styling does not disrupt the flow of the
rueda. Most styling is typically seen during Abre y Cierra and in transitions to Dile que no.
